Throne of Glass Family Trees

Throne of Glass is an epic fantasy saga that begins with Celaena Sardothien and unfolds into a tale involving seven couples. As a result, the family trees become highly intertwined and can be challenging to follow.

The family trees in this post represent the end-of-series relationships and therefore contain spoilers. Check out Throne of Glass Characters for the entire Throne of Glass cast.

Galathynius Family

The Galathynius household is front of center at of the series from get go. Aelin Ashryver Galathynius Whitethorn is the heir to the Terrasen’s throne and is the children of Evalyn Ashryver Galathynius and Rhoe Galathynius. Aelin is married and mated to Rowan Whitethorn Galathynius whose family tree is displayed below.

Aelin’s mother Evalin is member of the Ashryver household which plays a huge role in the series and displayed below as well.

Rhoe’s parents are not covered in the books, but his uncle Orlon Galathynius was the king of the Terrasen household before it’s fall. Orlon was never married, but his lover was Darrow whom appears first in Empire of Storms. Orlon’s parents are also not covered but he is descended from Elena and Brennan Galathynius.

Aelin Ashryver Galathynius descends from Elena Galathynius who is also married to Gavin Havilliard. Elena and Gavin’s relationship is what kicks off the events of Throne of Glass, and the Havilliard household whom Dorian Havilliard is a part of.

The entire Galathynius line descends from Brannon Galathynius and Mala-Fire Bringer. Aelin’s wild fire is a gift from Mala.

Ashryver Family

Aelin Ashryver Galathynius is a member of the Ashryver household on her mother’s side. Evalin Ashryver Galathynius, her mother is Glaston Ashryver’s sister and Galan Ashryver’s aunt.

Evalin Ashryver Galathynius is cousins with Aedion Ashryver’s mother. Aedion Ashryver is a member of Aelin’s court and is her close confidant. His father is Gavriel who was a member of Queen Maeve’s blood-sworn cadre. Aedion is mated and married to Lysandra who is close friends with Aelin.

The entire Ashryver line descends from Queen Mab making Aelin both Mab and Mala’s heir.

Havilliard Family

House Havilliard started with Gavin Havilliard after he was gifted the lands of Adarlan as a reward for his help against Erawan, the Valg king during the first war.

Gavin married Elena Galathynius, King Brannon Galathynius’s daughter and Princess of Terrasen.

Generations have passed and when King Dorian Havilliard I got possessed by a Valg demon during his childhood, Havilliard family became a conquering force on Erilea. King Dorian married Georgina Havilliard and had two children, Hollin Havilliard and King Dorian Havilliard II.
