She does her best to keep her family fed by hunting in the woods near the Wall of Prythian, where High Fae live.
After falling in love with Tamlin in ACOTAR, Feyre finds out that the blight threatening Prythian is not a blight at all, but Amarantha, a commander from Hybern attempting to take over the island. Amarantha tricked the High Lords 49 years ago, stealing almost all of their power and enslaving them under her rule from beneath the sacred mountain of Prythian.
Tamlin sends Feyre away to protect her, but she returns for him. Amarantha forces asks Feyre to solve a riddle or have her face three deadly trials: first, fighting a Middengard Wyrm, then figuring out how to get out of a trap, and finally, murdering three faeries—one of whom is Tamlin.
During her trials, Feyre strikes a bargain with Rhysand, High Lord of the Night Court—his help in healing her in exchange for spending one week per month in the Night Court for the rest of her life. Tamlin survives due to his heart of stone, part of his curse, but Feyre is forever changed after killing two youngling faeries before then. Feyre passes the trials however Amarantha does not concede because she never specified when she’d let them go even if Feyre beat the trials. Feyre, however at this point, solves the riddle Amarantha asked initially.
Enraged, Amarantha kills Feyre. But for what she gave to save Prythian, each High Lord gives a piece of their essence, resurrecting her as High Fae.
Feyre is traumatized by what she had to do and endure. After sharing a goodbye with Rhysand, she returns to the Spring Court with Tamlin, trying to heal, move on, and learn to live as High Fae.

When Adriata is attacked, Feyre joins the Night Court’s response force to help defend the city.
During the High Lords’ meeting in the Dawn Court, Feyre publicly reveals herself as the High Lady of the Night Court. She also loses her temper and reveals that she possesses an ember of power from each High Lord.
When the Winter Court is attacked, Elain is taken hostage by the King of Hybern. Feyre and Azriel go to rescue her, succeeding with the unexpected help of Jurian. As Feyre escapes, it’s Tamlin who gives her the power she needs to fly away.
Just before the final battle on the human lands, Feyre lifts the glamour hiding the Bone Carver, revealing that she has looked into the Ouroboros.
During the chaos of the final battle, Amren discovers how to nullify the Cauldron and asks Feyre to place her hands on it. Feyre becomes trapped and witnesses the King of Hybern kill her father, Cassian get seriously injured, and Elain kill the King of Hybern. When the Cauldron releases her, Feyre is about to attack Amren—until Amren reveals that the only way to win is to release her true form. Feyre unbinds her.
The Cauldron explodes, activating Prythian’s “kill switch.” Feyre and Rhysand combine their powers to mend it, but Rhysand dies in the process. Feyre convinces the other High Lords to each give a seed of their power to bring him back to life.
Feyre and her sisters later attend a small funeral for their father, and Feyre leads a meeting to establish lasting peace between mortals and Fae.
After the war, Feyre is seen drinking in Velaris with her friends, and flying over the city with her mate, Rhysand.

Feyre is still dealing with the aftermath of the war, battling nightmares and PTSD. She’s also struggling to connect with Nesta, who is carrying her own trauma. When Nesta crosses a final line, it’s Feyre who delivers an ultimatum: either go to the House of Wind to pull herself back together, or be sent to live in the mortal lands.
Shortly after this, Feyre discovers she’s pregnant. However, because the baby was conceived while Feyre had her Illyrian wings, the child also has wings—something Feyre’s anatomy isn’t equipped to handle. Rhysand, aware of the dangers, chooses not to tell Feyre, hoping to find a solution before she has to know the truth.
When tensions rise, Nesta—furious—reveals the pregnancy complications to Feyre. After some time and healing, Nesta apologizes, and Feyre forgives her.
Feyre eventually goes into labor, and both she and the baby are at risk of dying. In a desperate moment, Nesta bargains with the Cauldron, offering to return what she took from it in exchange for Feyre’s life. As a result, Feyre’s body is altered, allowing her to survive the birth.
She gives birth to her son, Nyx.
Feyre and her mate begin a new chapter, living happily with their baby boy.

Lucien tolerates Feyre’s arrival to Prythian at best. He gives her information about how to trap the Suriel to get the answers she’s looking for, but he doesn’t go and help Feyre when she’s attacked by naga despite claiming he’d be around. When Rhysand appears in Spring Court, he tries to glamour Feyre to hide her but fails.
During Feyre’s trials under the mountain, Lucien heals her a few times and is trapped with her in the twisted blade pit.
Like Tamlin, Lucien is able to take off his mask when Feyre solves Amarantha’s riddle. After the curse if broken he returns to the Spring Court with Tamlin and Feyre.

Lucien is the Emissary of the Spring Court and Tamlin’s best friend. He is witty, snarky, and sarcastic in general. Initially not fond of Feyre, Lucien regularly demeans her mortality and taunts her. He is permanently stuck with a fox mask on his face. Lucien is the son of the High Lord of Autumn and the Lady of the Autumn Court. After losing the love of his life, Lucien fled to the Spring Court and took up the position of Emissary under Tamlin.
After Under the Mountain, Lucien returns to the Spring Court with Feyre and Tamlin. As Tamlin’s second, Lucien tries to lead by example. He attempts to keep Feyre company as much as possible but is often pulled into Spring Court affairs by Tamlin. As Tamlin imposes increasingly strict conditions on Feyre for her “safety,” Lucien makes half-hearted efforts to persuade Tamlin to give Feyre more freedom.
When Tamlin locks Feyre in the house to prevent her from leaving, Lucien does not intervene. After Feyre escapes, Tamlin becomes distraught and sends Lucien and his sentries to track Feyre into Night Court territory.
Lucien and the sentries encounter Feyre in the Illyrian mountains while she trains with Rhys. Lucien attempts to grab Feyre against her will, but Feyre fends him off.
Later, when Feyre and the Inner Circle infiltrate Hybern to neutralize the Cauldron, it is revealed that Tamlin and Lucien have formed an alliance with Hybern to get Feyre back.
Lucien is unaware of Ianthe’s scheme to transform Feyre’s sisters into Fae using the Cauldron. He tries to oppose it but fails. When Elain emerges from the Cauldron, Lucien covers her with his jacket, and the mating bond between them snaps into place when he looks at her.
After Feyre fakes being released from Rhysand’s control and returns to the Spring Court at the end of A Court of Mist and Fury, Lucien appears skeptical of Feyre’s behavior.

Tamlin returns to the Spring Court with Feyre, ready to heal and rebuild.
Three months after Under the Mountain, Tamlin is back at the Spring Court, trying to rebuild while healing from the horrors of Amarantha’s reign. He proposes to Feyre, and she accepts. He tries to reestablish control of the Spring Court, showing a united front to the outside world.
However, Tamlin is suffering from severe PTSD from the events under the mountain. Having watched Feyre die at Amarantha’s hands, he becomes overprotective and increasingly controlling toward her. His anger issues intensify, especially when it comes to Feyre’s safety, and his protectiveness slowly begins to suffocate her. Both Tamlin and Feyre are haunted by nightmares, and Tamlin often shifts into his beast form, standing guard at the edge of their bed at night.
Tamlin is also deeply worried about Feyre’s growing powers. Fearing the other High Lords would kill her if they knew she held pieces of their power, he refuses to let her train. Instead, Tamlin orders her abilities hidden.
While patrolling the Spring Court and hunting leftover creatures of Amarantha, Tamlin assigns Ianthe, a childhood friend, to spend time with Feyre and teach her High Fae etiquette.
On their wedding day, when Feyre hesitates at the altar and Rhysand winnows in to call the bargain, Tamlin does not fight back, though he is desperate to find a way to break the bargain. His fear of Rhysand, combined with his obsession to protect Feyre, drives him to increasingly extreme measures.
Tamlin reinstates the Tithe, a tax on his people, and shows little mercy to those who cannot pay. When Feyre gives her jewelry to a water wraith so she can meet her Tithe, Tamlin is furious, leading to a heated argument. Later, to make amends, Tamlin gifts Feyre a painting set. When Feyre flinches at the sight of the paints, overwhelmed by trauma, Tamlin loses control and destroys his office in a violent rage. Feyre, instinctively using her new High Lord powers to shield herself, is left terrified of Tamlin.
When a new threat arises in the Spring Court, Tamlin and Lucien prepare to hunt it down. Feyre, stifled by her gilded cage of a life, begs Tamlin to let her join. Tamlin refuses. When Feyre defies him, Tamlin responds by placing an impenetrable shield around the house, locking her inside.
After Morrigan comes to break Feyre out, Tamlin returns to find Feyre gone. In a fit of rage, he kills all the sentries on duty and destroys the manor. He sends Lucien, Bron, and Hart to search for Feyre in the Night Court, convinced she has been taken against her will.
Seeking desperate measures, Tamlin uses Ianthe’s connections to make contact with the King of Hybern. In exchange for helping track Feyre and break her bargain with Rhysand, Tamlin allows Hybern to invade the mortal lands, break the wall, and use the Spring Court as a foothold. Tamlin agrees to the terms.
When the Inner Circle infiltrates Hybern’s castle, Tamlin reveals himself as an ally of Hybern, all to win Feyre back. Feyre is disgusted by Tamlin’s willingness to sell out Prythian, but Tamlin is blinded by desperation. When the King of Hybern breaks the bargain between Feyre and Rhysand, Tamlin believes the mating bond is broken as well, though reluctantly.
Tamlin returns to the Spring Court with Feyre, deliriously happy to have her back. So eager to believe in his second chance, he fails to notice the holes in her story and does not realize Feyre has returned as a spy—and the High Lady of the Night Court.

Tamlin and Feyre return to the Spring Court, with Tamlin reluctantly excited to have Feyre back. Unbeknownst to him, Feyre is undercover, working to take down the Spring Court from within.
Tamlin, honoring his bargain with Hybern, welcomes the King of Hybern’s commanders, Dagdan and Brannagh, into his court—though he is clearly displeased. He arranges for them to inspect the weak spots along the wall, allowing Feyre and Lucien to escort them.
Tamlin also allows Feyre to sit in court meetings, promising her that things would be different this time. Meanwhile, Feyre begins quietly turning the Spring Court against Tamlin. First, she places herself in compromising positions with Lucien, fracturing their friendship. Then she adorns herself to the sentries, earning their loyalty and subtly undermining Tamlin’s authority. After Feyre escapes the Spring Court, Tamlin’s court collapses.

He reveals that he was never truly allied with the King of Hybern but was acting as a spy, attempting to gather information about Hybern’s plans. Tamlin, after a moment’s hesitation, gives a kernel of his power to bring Rhysand back to life—telling Feyre to be happy and finally letting her go.
After the war, Tamlin attends the meeting at the ruins of the Archeron estate to renegotiate a new treaty, after which he quickly retreats back to the Spring Court, broken and alone.

The Spring Court manor stands abandoned and desolate, and Tamlin lives alone, as most of his court members continue to harbor prejudice against him thanks to Feyre’s efforts.
Lucien attempts to visit him but eventually stops after Tamlin asks him not to.
Rhysand begins visiting Tamlin to prevent Prythian from falling apart, but Tamlin is antagonistic and nearly violent toward him. Since Beron is considering invading the mortal lands, and Tamlin is the only lord standing between Beron and Prythian’s mortal territory, Rhysand offers to station Illyrian warriors at the Spring Court. Tamlin refuses but agrees to allow Tarquin’s soldiers to patrol his lands instead.
Near the end of A Court of Frost and Starlight, Rhysand visits Tamlin again. Tamlin asks if Feyre could ever forgive him, but Rhysand cannot give him an answer. Tamlin then asks if Rhysand could ever forgive him for the deaths of his mother and sister. Rhysand replies that while Feyre might eventually forgive, he never will, and that Tamlin deserves everything that has happened to him. Rhysand leaves Tamlin alone and abandoned in the ruins of the Spring Court.

When Tamlin punishes the sentries unjustly, Feyre plants ideas in their minds—suggesting that Feyre fled because Tamlin allowed the Hybern commanders to harm her.
After Feyre escapes the Spring Court, Tamlin’s court collapses.
Tamlin later attends the High Lords’ meeting in the Dawn Court. He reveals that he was never truly allied with the King of Hybern but was acting as a spy, attempting to gather information about Hybern’s plans. However, during the meeting, he also undermines Feyre by tarnishing her character. Despite the tension, all the courts agree to join the alliance against Hybern, except for the Autumn Court.
During the rescue mission where Feyre and Azriel attempt to save Elain from Hybern’s camp, it is Tamlin who boosts Feyre’s power, allowing her to fly to safety with her sister.
In the final battle, Tamlin’s forces fight alongside the other courts. After Rhysand sacrifices his power to mend the Cauldron and dies, Feyre begs each High Lord for help.
After the war, Tamlin is utterly destroyed. His court is in ruins, his PTSD overwhelming him, and he is unable to cope with what he did to Feyre.
In A Court of Silver Flames, the story shifts focus to Nesta and Cassian, so Tamlin is not very present.
Tamlin remains unable to overcome his guilt and grief. He spends most of his time staying in his beast form, letting the Spring Court grow as wild and untamed as he has become. As Tamlin descends deeper into the beast within, the court around him falls into chaos.
Rhysand visits Tamlin regularly to keep him in check, ensuring that the balance of Prythian remains stable even as Tamlin struggles to hold on to what little is left of himself.

Rhysand first meets Feyre at Calanmai. He then later visits Spring Court to check in on Tamlin and Lucien to mock them. He also takes insult that Lucien tried to glamour her away from him and makes them both bow in front of him before leaving. When he asks for her name, Feyre lies and gives Claire Beddor’s name — which Rhysand passes to Amarantha.
When Feyre arrives Under the Mountain she discovers that Rhysand is Amarantha’s lover.
During Feyre’s first trial Rhysand bets on her. When Feyre’s injuries from her battle with the Middengard Wyrm proves to be severe and infected, Rhysand offers a bargain to her. In exchange for healing her, Feyre must spend one week of every month of the rest of her life in Night Court. Not having another choice, Feyre agrees. He gives Feyre a tattoo on one of her arms to seal the bargain. During the second trial, Rhysand discovers Feyre is illitrate and helps her figure out which lever to pull to get herself and Lucien out of the trap. After the third trial, when Amarantha’s attacks Feyre, Rhysand is the only one who tries to fight back against her.
Once Amarantha is dead, Rhysand and Feyre meet up on a balcony to say goodbye. Rhysand reveals he has wings and loves flying. The two of them bid goodbye and Rhysand returns to the Night Court.

Despite his bargain with Feyre and their reluctant alliance Under the Mountain, Rhysand doesn’t come to collect her immediately. He disappears to the Night Court, and three months pass.
When Feyre begs for anyone to save her during her wedding, Rhysand winnows in and calls in the bargain. Feyre expects a dungeon but instead finds herself in a palace atop a mountain, treated like a guest rather than a prisoner. Rhysand begins teaching her to read and shield her mind, while gently encouraging her to work with him in the looming conflict with Hybern.
Their bargain continues for several months, with Rhysand coming to collect Feyre for a week at a time. Despite his efforts, Feyre continues to withdraw, haunted by her trauma and struggling to feel safe.

It’s revealed that Rhysand’s cruel demeanor was a mask to protect his people. In truth, he is adored by them. He names Feyre the emissary to the human lands and tells her she is welcome to stay in Velaris for as long as she wishes.
As tensions with Hybern rise, Feyre and Rhysand begin working together to plan for its inevitable attack. They visit the Bone Carver in the Prison, learning that the Book of Breathings can be used to nullify the Cauldron.
Feyre, Rhysand, and Amren later travel to the Summer Court to steal the Fae half of the Book. A friendship begins forming between Rhysand and Tarquin, only to be shattered when Tarquin discovers they’ve stolen the book.
When Hybern starts tracking Rhys’s magic, the group retreats to an Illyrian war camp. There, Rhysand continues training Feyre, helping her explore her new abilities and begin healing from her trauma Under the Mountain.
While training in the Illyrian mountains, Lucien finally tracks Feyre down. Feyre fends him off, grows wings, and flies—much to Rhysand’s delight. That night, they stay at an inn, where they begin to confess their feelings and finally hook up.
The next morning, while flying, Rhysand begins telling Feyre his final story—only to be shot from the sky and captured by Hybern. Feyre rescues him, but he’s been poisoned. She finds the Suriel, who reveals that Rhysand is her mate. Feyre heals him but leaves to process the revelation.
After a few days of recovery, Rhysand flies to his family’s cabin, where Feyre is staying. He tells her everything—and the two of them finally mate.
When Hybern attacks Velaris, the Inner Circle decides to infiltrate Hybern’s castle to nullify the Cauldron. But they’re ambushed by the King of Hybern and Jurian, who nullify everyone’s powers. Feyre breaks through the wards, allowing them to escape, and pretends to be free of Rhysand’s control.
Rhysand lets his mate return to the Spring Court. When Amren and Mor confront him, demanding why he let her go, Rhysand reveals the final twist: the night before, he and Feyre were secretly married, and he named her High Lady of the Night Court. Feyre isn’t just his mate—she’s also his wife, his High Lady, and his spy.

In an effort to hold Prythian together, he pays a visit to the Spring Court, only to find Tamlin’s estate abandoned and Tamlin himself in a state of deep, bitter depression. When Tamlin asks if Feyre could ever forgive him, Rhysand responds that she might—but he never will.
Eventually, Rhysand surprises Feyre by purchasing a large estate on the Sidra River, which they name River House. The two of them begin trying for a baby, ready to start a new chapter of peace, family, and healing.
Feyre and Rhysand make a bargain, when one of them dies, the other one will go with them so they never have to be apart again.
Feyre becomes pregnant—but the baby has Illyrian wings, making it a dangerous pregnancy. Rhysand, desperate to protect her, chooses not to tell Feyre the truth, hoping to find a solution before she ever has to find out.
When Feyre learns about the pregnancy complications from Nesta, she is furious with Rhysand. Rhysand, overwhelmed with guilt and fear, becomes enraged at Nesta and briefly contemplates killing her for putting Feyre under stress.
One night, as spring dawns over Velaris, Feyre—now two months from giving birth—shares a quiet moment with Rhysand on a balcony. A red star streaks across the sky, and Rhysand sees it for what it truly is.
Sarah J. Maas universe spoilers: || The red star is Aelin Ashryver Galathynius, passing through the worlds. Rhysand slows the star, sensing she’s in trouble—this small act helps Aelin find her way back to Rowan. ||
Feyre goes into labor, and Madja delivers the baby. Though the baby, Nyx, survives, Feyre begins to lose too much blood. Her life hangs by a thread. Cassian and Azriel drag Rhysand away to give Madja space to try and save her.
It’s Nesta who saves Feyre, Rhysand, and Nyx by offering to give her powers back to the Cauldron in exchange for her sister’s life.
Afterward, Rhysand falls to his knees and kisses Nesta’s hands in gratitude. He showers her with thanks—and gifts—including giving her the House of Wind. He even begins planning Nesta and Cassian’s mating ceremony.
In the end, Rhysand, Feyre, and their son Nyx begin their happily ever after, surrounded by family, rebuilding peace, and flying high over Velaris.

Morrigan (Mor) is part of Rhysand’s Inner Circle and his cousin. Morrigan runs the daily operations of the Night Court. She is also Rhysand’s Third-In-Command.
Morrigan is at the Night Court when Rhysand calls in his bargain. From the beginning, she’s welcoming to Feyre and tries to become her friend with her bubbly, easygoing personality.
When Tamlin locks Feyre in the manor, Mor—under Rhysand’s orders—knocks out Spring Court guards and carries Feyre out of the Spring Court and into Summer Court territory.
As Feyre begins healing in the Night Court, Morrigan becomes like a sister to her. As Rhysand’s cousin and Second-in-Command, Mor handles the logistics and diplomacy of the Night Court, especially managing the delicate balance between the Court of Nightmares and the Court of Dreams.
When she was 17 and first bled, Morrigan’s father betrothed her to Eris Vanserra, the Autumn Court’s heir, to secure an alliance. Wanting her own freedom, Mor slept with Cassian, someone considered beneath High Fae by most outside the Night Court. When her family found out, they nailed a note to her stomach that said “She’s your problem now” and dumped her at the Spring Court border. Eris abandoned her, and it was Azriel who found her and brought her home. The two have shared a tense, slow-burning relationship ever since.
When the Inner Circle meets with the Mortal Queens, Mor joins them. The queens recognize her as The Morrigan—the legendary figure who fought beside their ancestors in the same war.
Morrigan’s gift is truth.

When Feyre, Rhysand and others visit the Archeron Estate to establish a foothold in the mortal realms, Elain is the one who convinces Nesta that they should help. Thanks to her gentle demeanor Elain is able to get all the household staff to take the time off to have the privacy they need.
Elain is engaged to a human man named Graysen who gave her an iron engagement ring and hates fairies. Despite that, Elain tries her best to be polite to Feyre and the fae men when they arrive at their house.
Once the mortal queens reject their alliance, Nesta gives Elain the choice to stay in the Archeron Estate or go to Velaris to be safe from the war. Elain says she cannot go since she’s in love with Graysen.
Elain is kidnapped by Hybern after Ianthe reveals their location. The King, as an attempt to demonstrate Cauldron can make mortals into High Fae, decides to turn Elain first. Nesta is enraged when Elain is danger, having always loved her more like a daughter than sister. Elain emerges as High Fae from the Cauldron.

As a part of this curse she takes most of the High Lords’ power. Amarantha wants to be with Tamlin who is not interested in her. The members of the Spring Court cannot take off their masks.
