Here are the Fourth Wing, Iron Flame and Onyx storm maps so you can visualize while reading.

This is an unofficial fan-made map for Onyx Storm, created by me. It includes commentary and interpretations based on my own design. This work is not affiliated with or endorsed by the official Onyx Storm creators or publishers.

The Empyrean series is told by Violet Sorrengail’s point of view. That means the map get at the beginning of the book is based on what Violet knows. The map changes as Violet gets to know her world better and as readers so do we following her journey!

Fourth Wing and Iron Flame Map

The only place we see in Fourth Wing and Iron Flame is the Continent, even though the Isle Kingdoms are mentioned. The Continent consists of Navarre, Poromiel and The Barrens.

The Kingdom of Navarre has six provinces

  • Tyrrendor
    • Aretia: Capital of Aretia and where Riorson house resides
      • Aretia have their own hatching grounds as of Iron Flame
    • Lewellen: House Lewellen is also in Tyrrendor. They assumed control of Tyrrendor after the first attempt of secession.
    • Cliffs of Dralor: A wall of cliffs that separates Aretia from Poromiel. It’s one of the reasons why Tyrrendor is never breached. The Medaro Pass is the only way to traverse Cliffs of Dralor into Tyrrendor from Poromiel side.
    • Draithus: Coastal city in Poromiel bordering Tyrrendor.
  • Luceras
    • Warrick from the original six riders is from Luceras
  • Calldyr
    • Calldyr City: Where the Tauri royal family resides
  • Morraine
    • Basgiath War College: Where cadets of Navarrian army are trained
    • The Vale, where the dragons live and their hatching grounds are
    • Lyra from the original six riders is from Morraine
  • Deconshire
  • Elsum

Poromiel has three provinces:

  • Krovla
    • This is where the second Krovlan uprising took place.
    • Venin occupies a lot of the continent but Krovla is nearly untouched.
    • Cordyn: Vicarus Tecarus’s estate and opulent yet indefensible palace is located in this city in Krovla province.
  • Braevick
    • Zolya is in Braevick province. Before it’s occupation by the Venin, this was where Cliffsbane Flight Academy is located where the gryphon fliers are trained.
  • Cygnisen
    • Rhiannon is from a village that borders this province.

The Barrens have no known geographical landmarks although we now know it’s been drained by the Venin.

Onyx Storm Map

The map above is the updated in Onyx storm with more of Poromiel is revealed.

The Islands/Isle Kingdoms

Above maps are the Isle Kingdoms. These are not an official maps they are made by me for the purpose of commentary. Since we don’t have an official map, we can only speculate on the location and size of these islands.

Some of the islands are devoted to the gods.

  • Unnbriel
    • This is the Island of Dunne, Goddess of War
  • Deverelli
    • King Courtlyn, the King of the Isle Kingdoms live here
    • Viscount (now King) Tecarius also have an estate in this island
  • Hedotis
    • This is the island of Hedeon, the God of Wisdom
  • Zehyllna
    • This is the island of Zinhal, the God of Luck
    • Zehylnna is the only island with magic, although it’s not very potent
  • Loysam
  • Other unknown islands and kingdoms

Is there a way to buy copies of the maps?

You can find a copy of the main kingdom map in physical copies of the book! For the Isle Kingdoms, it’s a fan made map I made.
