Elle Kennedy’s Briar University Universe is a heartwarming, spicy hockey romance series. Although the universe is connected, the books are standalones. Elle Kennedy’s writing is funny, full of witty banter, and filled with delicious college romances.
However, currently there are three separate series at the time of writing this, so it might be hard to get into it. But don’t worry, Elle Kennedy’s books are no further than this post, because in this post we’ll walk you through how to dive into Briar U.

Below is a full reading order for Briar U! We’ll update this post as new books comes out.
Off Campus
If you’re just diving into Elle Kennedy’s Briar U, I highly recommend you start with the Off Campus Series, where it call started.
- The Deal: Following Garrett Graham and Hannah Wells who find themselves in a fake dating, annoyed classmates to friends to lovers romance
- The Mistake: John Logan and freshman Grace Ivers when Logan blows his chance with Grace after accidentally stumbling into her dorm room and messing it up
- The Score: When the “ladies man” Dean DiLaurentis and Hannah’s roommate Allie Hayes find themselves sneaking around after a one night stand
- The Goal: John Tucker, the team player roommate to the three hockey men above, and Sabrina James, an ambitious pre law student, find themselves in an unplanned pregnancy situation
- The Legacy: A collection of short stories about the couples above, following a wedding, a proposal, an elopement and a surprise pregnancy. You’ll need to read to find out which one is which
Off Campus is my first love of hockey romances, and every couple in this series has a special place in my heart. It’s witty, funny and charming, the perfect escape into a hockey based romcom.
Briar U
If you can’t get enough Off Campus, keep following along with some of the side characters who get to shine on their own as the boys of the Briar U Hockey Universe keep finding the love of their lives.
- The Chase: Colin “Fitzy” Fitzgerald and Dean’s sister Summer Heyward DiLaurentis find themselves in a grumpy sunshine living arrangement
- The Risk: Jake Connelly and Briar’s head hockey coach Brenna try to resist their attraction in a fake dating escapade
- The Play: Hunter Davenport, the rising star of the Briar U team after Garrett and the others graduate, and Demi who start as friends with benefits
- The Dare: Taylor is dared to seduce the hockey team’s hottest guy Conor Edwards
These books follow shortly after the Off Campus series, after the initial four guys graduate and the new guys step up.
Campus Diaries
Then finally jump to the next generation of the Briar U characters to fully catch up.
- The Graham Effect: Where Garrett Graham’s daughter Gigi Graham decides to get help from Luke Ryder to improve her game behind the net in exchange for putting in a good word with her dad
- The Dixon Rule: Gigi’s best friend Diana Dixon who decides to help Shane Lindley make his ex girlfriend jealous by pretending to date him
- The Charlie Method: Overachieving Charlotte “Charlie” Kingston finds herself drawn to best friends Will Larsen and Beckett Dunne, the two stars of the Briar Hockey team
The Campus Diaries is still ongoing, and we don’t know when the next book will come out, so you have plenty of time to catch up.
