I was absolutely feral 🐺 about Bride when I read it last year—the soft omegaverse book by Ali Hazelwood quickly became one of my favorite reads of 2024. As a former Twilight girlie (Team Jacob for life), I devoured Ali’s werewolf/vampire romance set in the modern world. And thankfully, we won’t have to wait much longer to return to the Bride universe because the Bride sequel by Ali Hazelwood, Mate, is officially coming out this October.
When does Bride sequel come out?
The Bride sequel by Ali Hazelwood is titled Mate—a perfectly fitting name if you’ve read Bride and that ending. It will be released on October 7, 2025, just in time for spooky season.

What is Bride Sequel is going to be about?
We don’t have the official blurb from Ali Hazelwood yet, but the Amazon listing for Mate is already live. Ali also teased the sequel in a “cryptic” Instagram post titled Tomorrow, featuring a claw mark slashed across what is clearly the title Mate.
Here’s the blurb from the listing:
A Human hybrid and an Alpha Were claw against the bonds of fate in the highly anticipated companion novel to the New York Times bestselling Bride.
Serena Paris is orphaned, pack-less, and one of a kind. Coming forward as the first Human-Were hybrid was supposed to heal a centuries-long rift between species. Instead, it made her a target, prey to the ruthless political machinations between Weres, Vampyres, and Humans. With her enemies closing in on her, she has only one option left—if he’ll have her.
As Alpha of the Northwest pack, Koen Alexander commands obedience. His authority is so absolute, only a fool would threaten his mate. It doesn’t matter if Serena doesn’t reciprocate his feelings, nothing will stop him from keeping her safe.
But power-hungry Vampyres and Weres are not the only threats chasing Serena. Sooner or later, her past is bound to catch up with her—and Koen might be the only thing standing between her and total annihilation…
It looks like we’re getting Serena and Koen’s story in the Bride sequel by Ali Hazelwood, and I cannot wait!
I’m not sure if Serena and Koen can top Misery and Lowe, but I’m excited to see if Ali can capture lightning in a bottle one more time.
